The Chicago White Sox are playing like a playoff contender right now.
They have won all four games in the second half and have made history by winning all of those games by five runs or more.
At 36-65, there’s no hope of competing for a playoff spot this season. However, the young White Sox players are doing their best to make this season somewhat fun.
The hope was for former All-Star centerfielder Luis Robert Jr. to have a good enough season to be moved at the trade deadline.
Despite Robert hitting .500 over his last four games, he has had a horrible offensive season. He has 10 home runs and 40 RBI while slashing just .206/.292/.344 in 83 games.
He has provided value on the basepaths and defensively, but the teams that are interested in him were hoping his bat would come around by now.

While he has looked good in the second half, it may be too late to get something good for the 27-year-old.
ESPN’s Buster Olney gave an update about a possible Robert trade, stating that it may be more unlikely that he is moved.
“But it seems unlikely that Luis Robert Jr. -- once projected as a centerpiece of this deadline -- will be dealt, unless a team makes a big bet on a player who has either underperformed or been hurt this year,” wrote Olney. “The White Sox could continue to wait on Robert's talent to manifest and his trade value to be restored by picking up his $20 million option for next year, which is hardly out of the question for a team with little future payroll obligation.”
Teams like the New York Mets, San Diego Padres and Philadelphia Phillies are in need out outfield help, but they may be forced to look elsewhere.
