Camden Capehart is fast.
Soon enough, he'll bring that speed to Mississippi State as a football wide receiver.
First, he's lighting up the tracks in Texas, where the high school sprinters are faster than they are anywhere else in the country.
Capehart just ran a 10.02 100-meter dash in the UIL Texas State 3A championships.
That's the seventh-fastest time ever by a U.S. high schooler.
And yeah, he ran away from everyone:

Dude is flying🏃🏻♂️💨
Perspective: The gold medalist in 2024 ran a 9.79. Bo Jackson’s fastest 100M was a 10.39 while he was in COLLEGE

And if you're wondering, Capehart can handle the turn, too.
On the same day, he doubled down and took the 200 meters in 20.48 seconds:
That's one way to double-back 😤😤😤
20.48 200m after a 10.02 100m earlier in the day!
Camden Capehart doubled back to take the UIL Texas State 3A 200m Title in 20.48 (+2.4). What a day for the Mississippi State commit.

Capehart competes for Winnsboro High School, and he lists himself in his X bio as 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds.
Clearly, speed will play, and Capehart has as much speed as just about anyone.
