Plus, Gavin Adcock scores his second Top Country Albums top 10 & Wynonna returns to the chart with her first studio album in a decade.
Miranda Lambert Robert Ashcroft
Miranda Lambert extends her unbroken run of top 10 albums on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart as Crisco debuts at No. 4 with 24,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States Oct. 2-8, according to Luminate.
All 11 of Lambert’s entries on the ranking have reached the top 10, dating to her 2005 debut, Kerosene, which opened at No. 1. Seven of her albums have topped the chart.
The 12-track Crisco, released Oct. 2 (through Vanner/MCA), was produced by Lambert and Jesse Frasure, and draws on the country and disco (hence the title) sounds of the 1970s. The album grew out of her duet with Chris Stapleton, “A Song to Sing,” which was inspired by the classic collaborations of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers. Lambert wears earrings once owned by Parton in the song’s video, while Stapleton sports a necklace that belonged to Rogers. The set also marks the first time that Lambert has recorded with strings.
Crisco opens with the Ella Langley collaboration “Snakeskin Boots,” which concurrently debuts at No. 12 on Hot Country Songs (6.1 million streams, 4.7 million in radio audience). She and her co-writers imagined what Thelma and Louise might have done had they survived their famous drive off a cliff, Lambert recently told Billboard, and she co-wrote the track with Frasure, Natalie Hemby and Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin — who earns his first Billboard chart credit.
The Langley pairing adds another chapter to an already successful creative partnership, as Lambert co-wrote and co-produced Langley’s smash “Choosin’ Texas,” which spends its 44th week atop Hot Country Songs, marking the third-longest-leading hit in the chart’s history.
Crisco follows Lambert’s Postcards from Texas, which debuted and peaked at No. 8 on Top Country Albums in September 2024, and Palomino, which reached No. 2 in 2022. Her longest-leading title is Platinum (six weeks, 2014); her other No. 1s are Wildcard (2019), The Weight of These Wings (2016), Four the Record (2011), Revolution (2009), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2007) and Kerosene.
Adcock Adds a Top 10
Georgia native Gavin Adcock notches his second Top Country Albums top 10 as The Day I Hang It Up debuts at No. 10 (18,000 units). He previously reached No. 4 with Own Worst Enemy in August 2025. Two tracks from the new 25-song set debut on Hot Country Songs: “Workin’ Man,” at No. 38 (2.4 million streams), and “Us Again,” with Treaty Oak Revival, at No. 45 (1.9 million).
Wynonna Returns
Wynonna earns her 13th solo Top Country Albums entry as The Hard Truth debuts at No. 45 (8,000 units). Recorded at her home studio in Leiper’s Fork, Tenn., and produced by husband Cactus Moser, the set follows Wynonna & The Big Noise, which reached No. 14 in 2016. Her self-titled debut spent three weeks at No. 1 in 1992, marking the first of her three leaders.
