Minecraft Actions & Stuff add-on 1.8 update has finally arrived. This is a massive update for the add-on since it finally features Vibrant Visuals, Mojang's shader-like graphical features. This entire update is about how the developers implemented the new graphical settings, bringing new atmospheres, custom sunrises and sunsets, and much more.
Here is everything to know about the Minecraft Actions & Stuff add-on 1.8 update.
All major details about Minecraft Actions & Stuff add-on 1.8 update featuring Vibrant Visuals
First, let's look at what Vibrant Visuals is in Minecraft. In March 2025, Mojang announced this new graphical setting that brings volumetric reflections, lighting, directional shadows, and PBR textures directly to the vanilla version. The overall aim was to make the game look and feel more modern, since the previous vanilla graphics were way too basic for 2025.
Soon after it was released, many players imagined what it would look like in Actions & Stuff, since it was one of the most beautiful Bedrock Edition add-ons. The wait is finally over since they released the Minecraft Actions & Stuff add-on 1.8 update.
This update might look like the developers only added Vibrant Visuals features to the add-on, but they did loads of under-the-hood work. First, they replaced every single block texture and added PBR so that it works perfectly with the new lighting system.
Then they increased the amount of emissive textures, which was possible because of Vibrant Visuals. They also worked on subsurface scattering, normal maps, and height maps.
Another unique feature this update offers is new biome atmospheres. The developers fine-tuned the skybox, lighting, fog, and color grading to create different environments for every biome. For example, deserts will have a yellowish sky, dusty fog, and stronger sunlight, while a Dark Oak Forest will have a very different look and feel.
Lastly, Vibrant Visuals also features detailed water reflections and physics, which are also implemented in the add-on. Not only do waterbodies have accurate reflections, but they also have subtle waves that drastically enhance realism.
Apart from these major additions, Minecraft Actions & Stuff add-on 1.8 update also brings other smaller additions and changes that are listed on their official patch notes website.
