This offseason, Myles Turner underwent a massive career change. After spending a decade with the Indiana Pacers, the defensive-minded big man decided to depart in favor of signing a four-year deal with the Milwaukee Bucks in free agency. Now on this new journey, he made some subtle remarks about the Pacers fan base.
As a homegrown talent and the longest-tenured player on the roster, Turner was a foundational piece of the organization. Alongside Tyrese Haliburton and Pascal Siakam, he helped lead Indiana to the NBA Finals last season. However, when the two sides couldn't come to terms on a new contract, Turner had no choice but to search the open market in hopes of being compensated what he feels he's worth.
Like many other players across the league, Turner is in Las Vegas right now soaking up Summer League action. During the Bucks' recent matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he even hopped on the TV broadcast to do a brief interview.
During his appearance, Turner was asked about how the reception he thinks he'll receive from Pacers fans next season. The veteran big man made one slight remark, stating that some supporters are upset that he's gone even though they've wanted him off the team for years.
"I think it's gonna be half-and-half," Turner said. "Even my time there there was a lot of people that wanted me off the team and they got what they wanted and now they're complaining still."

— Oh No He Didn't (@ohnohedidnt24) July 12, 2025Seeing that he remains in the central division, the Pacers are still going to see a lot of Turner moving forward. The only difference now is that he'll be sharing the frontcourt with one of the game's top superstars in Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Heading into this next chapter of his career, Turner has a lot riding on making an immediate impact. All offseason, there has been endless speculation about Giannis potentially leaving the Bucks. As the franchise's major offseason addition, Turner will be tasked with helping keep Milwaukee in the hunt in the East in an effort to keep Giannis pleased.
