Miley Cyrus Reacts to Seeing Her Own Barbie Doll for the First Time: ‘I’m Obsessed’

Miley Cyrus says it is a “dream” to be able to finally reveal her Barbie doll for the first time.

The “Barbie Signature Miley Cyrus Doll” was unveiled by Mattel on Tuesday (June 30). Inspired by the singer’s look from her “Golden Burning Sun” music video, off her 2025 Something Beautiful album, the Miley Cyrus Barbie is now available to purchase online on Amazon, Target and Walmart.com.

In an exclusive first look shared with Billboard, the “Adore You” singer gushes over her new Barbie doll, who’s dressed in a faux-leather jacket and skinny pants, with pointy black pumps and sunglasses.

“I’m obsessed, love her!” the singer exclaims, noting that “Every little detail of this design was a dream.”

Cyrus worked with the Barbie designers at Mattel to create her vision for the doll, “down to the shape of the shoe” and “the hair dimension.” And the singer says she made sure her signature Barbie was holding a microphone. “That was very important to me,” she says in the clip, adding that “having this microphone is so representative of not just the music but of having a voice.”

“Seeing my Barbie for the first time is a dream come true,” Cyrus adds in an official press release. “We spent so much time really digging into the details. That’s something that wasn’t just important to me in designing the Barbie, but it’s also very important to my own creativity and the way that I represent myself. Every detail was purposeful,” she adds, “and we spent a lot of time perfecting her—not to be perfect, because that wouldn’t be representative of me, but to really get down to the details of this ‘Golden Burning Sun’ look.”

“From Miley’s record-breaking achievements across pop culture and entertainment – including her recent album debut of Something Beautiful, to receiving her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame – her doll celebrates the transformative sound and cultural footprint she has made as a musician, actress and advocate for self-expression,” reads a statement from Mattel.

The Barbie Signature Miley Cyrus Collectible Doll is the latest addition to Barbie’s “Signature Series,” which has previously released dolls inspired by musical artists like Mariah Carey, Aaliyah and Stevie Nicks. All of the dolls are officially-licensed by both the artists and Mattel.
