After falling to the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday, the Charlotte Hornets hosted the Boston Celtics Sunday on the second night of a home back-to-back.

With a win, the Hornets would keep pace with their Southeast division rivals, the Orlando Magic and Miami Heat.

All three are currently within a half game of each other, batting for Play-In Tournament seeding in the Eastern Conference.

Unfortunately for Charlotte, they were dominated by the Celtics who led for 91% of the game and took home a 15-point victory.

The Hornets struggled from three-point range, knocking down 12 threes at just 28% from downtown.

LaMelo Ball was included in those struggles, going 3-for-12 from deep despite scoring a team-high 19 points.

For the Celtics, it was Jayson Tatum who did the damage.

The former Duke star put up a season-high 32 points to go along with eight assists, five rebounds, one block and no turnovers.

Following the game, Miles Bridges took accountability for Tatum's successful night, as the Charlotte forward was his primary defender throughout the contest.

"(He's) one of the premier players in the league and I put that on me. I should've been physical with [Jayson Tatum] from the jump. I let him get into a rhythm to start the game and it went from there."

Having ended their seven-game homestand, Bridges and the Hornets will return to action Tuesday in Brooklyn against the Nets.

As for the Celtics, they'll travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks Monday on the second night of a road back-to-back.
