Miles Bridges reveals thoughts regarding possible trade from Hornets

It's no secret that the Charlotte Hornets have impressed lately, currently on a two-game winning streak after Saturday's win against the Washington Wizards

Over their last 15 games, the Hornets have proved themselves when healthy, posting one of the strongest offensive and net ratings in the league.

That said, it took a while for the team to get healthy and as a result, the Hornets sit 12th in the Eastern Conference at 18-28 after going 6-14 through October and November.

As a result, given their place in the conference, the Hornets have been subject of plenty of trade rumors. Many expect Charlotte to offload some of their veterans and gain more future assets as the team continues to rebuild.

In addition to Collin Sexton, one of those veterans is Miles Bridges. Amidst the rumors, Bridges once again revealed his commitment to the franchise that drafted him. “If I get traded, if I don’t get traded. … I would rather be here. But I know if I do get traded, I know Jeff Peterson (the Hornets’ president of basketball operations) and those guys, they’ll talk to me first. So, I don’t try to worry about that. I just worry about the games,” Bridges told the Charlotte Observer.

At 27-years-old, Bridges has one more year on his deal following the 2025-26 season. He is slated to make $22.8 million next year.

In the meantime, as the Feb. 5 trade deadline approaches, the Charlotte Hornets will return to action Monday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Due to the weather, the game has been moved from 7P.M. EST to 3P.M.
