Miles Bridges admits he wants to earn the Phoenix Suns fans' trust

Miles Bridges is now a Phoenix Suns player after the team made a trade with the Charlotte Hornets. Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale, and a 2033 first-round pick were part of the package that led to the move. While Bridges is a good player with a unique skill set, some fans are concerned about his arrival.

Unfortunately, Bridges has a felony domestic violence charge on his record from 2022. While it has been four years since then, people are unconvinced that he has learned from what transpired back then. However, Bridges and Suns general manager Brian Gregory have talked about how he has taken the necessary steps.

It is fairly normal for fans to expect players to be on their best behavior, especially when they are big-name athletes. Even Bridges seems to agree because he has been working on himself over the past few years after what transpired.

Now that he is in Phoenix, he is in a brand new environment with new people. He has to convince a lot of people that he has grown from what happened, and the fans expect him to be as responsible as he can be.

Bridges himself seems to agree with that sentiment because he made sure to address that he has done the work to be a better person. That will certainly affect his standing among the fans. He is a good basketball player with plenty to offer on both ends of the floor, so this is a promising sign at the very least.

"First of all, I want to thank the Suns organization for giving me a chance, BG, Josh, Coach Ott. I also want to thank the Hornets for making me part of the team and giving me a second chance. I'm excited to be here; I think I'll be a great fit... It's mixed feelings about me being here, but I take full responsibility of my actions," Bridges said to start off his introductory press conference with the Suns.

It is certainly a delicate situation that Bridges and the Suns must deal with properly. He has to meet expectations as well on the court, so it will be up to Bridges to showcase that he has grown to earn the support and trust he wants to get.
