MiLaysia Fulwiley isn't comfortable with the rumors surrounding her decision to leave the South Carolina Gamecocks.

Things kicked off on April 21 when X user @SkimMilkey wrote on the platform, "South Carolina transfer MiLaysia Fulwiley will be visiting LSU 'soon', according to multiple sources. LSU seems to be the frontrunner at this point to land Fulwiley."

On the same day, someone with the same username on Discord elaborated further. "Here is the story I got - [Fulwiley] did not want to leave South Carolina, but her mom wanted her to chase the bag. Fulwiley wanted to stay, mom wanted to get money. Agent got fired and now her agent of Chen's old agent. Once she left, Dawn just wasn't going to allow her back. That's why the news of her leaving and her announcement were so far apart."

Fulwiley definitely saw the rumors, and on April 22 she hopped on someone else's TikTok Live and began to address each one, story by story. "good morning appreciate yall support wanted to clear some things up tho," she began before shutting down one particular rumor with an all caps reply: "IM NOT GOING ON A VISIT ANYWHERE THAT WAS A LIE !"

She added, "also my decision watershed about no money at all yall really think i wanted to leave my hometown." Fulwiley is from Columbia, South Carolina.

The young hooper also denied that she had asked Coach Dawn Staley to take her back on the team. She wrote, "yes never tried to go back ! that's also cap."

While her decision go directly to social media to clear up the stories might be unconventional to some, Fulwiley clearly felt it was important to address things before the internet made up too much. Her response is a powerful reminder that unless you personally know what's going behind the scenes, it's important to always treat internet speculation as exactly that (until it's proven otherwise).
