Mike Brown gets brutally honest about Knicks' ice-cold fourth quarter against Pacers

The New York Knicks entered Tuesday night's matchup with the Indiana Pacers as double-digit favorites, given the teams' significant record gap. It didn't matter, though, as Indiana knocked off the Knicks in overtime, 137-134.

The Pacers entered the game with the Eastern Conference's worst road winning percentage at .120, and were able to overcome a league-high 39 lead changes to defeat New York in a tightly contested matchup.

As the game came down to the wire, the Knicks shot 11 of 26 from the field at the end of the fourth quarter and early in overtime, ultimately costing them what should've been an easy game as they inch closer to the All-Star break.

Mike Brown reveals what went wrong for the Knicks in OT loss to Pacers

Knicks head coach Mike Brown was fairly honest when addressing the media after the game, admitting he liked the looks New York was getting, but the shots just didn't seem to fall.

"I thought Jalen down the stretch had some pretty good looks. He got to his spot. Or he got to the spots that he normally gets to. He just came up short," Brown said via SNY's Ian Begley.

"But we got the ball where we needed to get the ball and we got the looks that we wanted to look for during that time. Sometimes they just don’t go in and tonight was one of those nights."

It wasn't the offense that was the problem for the Knicks tonight, but the defense. New York allowed Indiana to shoot 52% from the field for the game, a far cry from the elite defense they've put on display throughout their previous winning stretch.

There's no time to worry about this one, though. The Knicks now must prepare for the second game of a back-to-back and head down the turnpike for a matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
