Michigan among 17 schools that have offered 2027 five star wide receiver

Michigan Football is looking to strengthen its 2026 recruiting class with the addition of five-star wide receiver Matthew Gregory from Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, Pennsylvania. Gregory is currently ranked as the third-best receiver in the country and 25th overall player for the 2027 recruiting class.

Gregory had an impressive sophomore season for Roberts in 2024, collecting 1,100 all-purpose yards. A majority of the yards for Gregory came in the receiving category as he recorded 850 yards and 13 touchdowns on 48 catches.

Gregory currently has 17 offers for his college career, with Michigan being one of them. Other notable offers that Gregory has received include Notre Dame, Maryland, Penn State, Miami, Nebraska, Florida State, and Wisconsin, among others.

One of the aspects of his game that makes Gregory a talented five-star recruit is his speed. Gregory’s 100-meter dash time of 10.46 seconds makes him an explosive nightmare for opposing teams' secondaries.

The Wolverines have one commit currently for their 2027 recruiting class, with Saline High School offensive lineman Louis Esposito being Michigan’s lone commit.

The Wolverines have built an impressive class for the 2026 season, and under head coach Sherrone Moore, there’s no doubt that Michigan will build another top 10 recruiting class for the 2027 cycle.

Michigan currently has, for the 2026 recruiting cycle, the ninth-best class in the country. The Wolverines have a total of 21 commits for their 2026 class, and the list will continue to grow throughout the next couple of months.
