Carson Beck did plenty of winning at Georgia.
But now he's in Miami, with the Hurricanes, who are still seeking a full-on program revival after taking a ton of steps in the right direction.
Last season, Cam Ward was a superstar, and it still didn't get Miami to the College Football Playoff.
This season, ESPN's Bill Connelly writes, the Hurricanes need Beck to be a Ward "approximation."
"Miami pummeled Florida and won its first four games by an average of 42 points; it looked as if coach Mario Cristobal had engineered the Hurricanes' long-awaited breakthrough," Connelly writes. "But defensive breakdowns caused a late-season collapse and wasted a brilliant season from eventual No. 1 pick Cam Ward. Georgia transfer Carson Beck should do well (if healthy) -- he was eighth in Total QBR last season, after all. But Ward was brilliant, and it still wasn't enough to get Miami to the CFP."

Beck isn't the only new face, either.
Miami lost its top six pass catchers from last season. The Hurricanes brought in a pair of strong transfers and have a bunch of former top recruits waiting in the wings, too.

It'll start with Beck, though. It'll be up to him to get those wideouts up to speed and make things click in Miami.
If he can bring the winning with him down to Miami, too, it'll be impressive.
