The Subway Series and the Fourth of July weekend!? Talk about a double-dose of Americana!

The Mets and Yankees renew their New York rivalry in the latest edition of the Subway Series this Fourth of July weekend. This version of the famed series will take place at Citi Field, and tickets have been selling fast for all three games of the holiday weekend. 

Of course, the presence of Aaron Judge makes the ticket hot on its own, but there's always a little extra fire in this particular interleague series. It doesn't hurt that Juan Soto — who dazzled for the Yankees in the 2024 postseason — became a Met in the offseason. 

The Bronx Bombers have faced the Amazin' Mets over a dozen times since the 1997 season, including the 2000 World Series. It's the latest chapter of the Subway Series, which originated back when the Yanks would play the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers.

Now, the reigning AL-champion Yankees will have their hands full at Citi Field. The additions of Soto and fellow former Pinstriper Clay Holmes have helped push the Mets back into contention, not just for the NL East title but for the World Series as well. Tickets to the Subway Series are available now on StubHub, and all three games of the series are selling fast. 

Ticket prices for the series-opener on Friday, July 4 start at about $130. Seats for Saturday, July 5 start at around $160. The final game of the series on Sunday, July 6 has a get-in price of $134.
