Tyler Rogers started the season with the San Francisco Giants. The submarine relief pitcher did well, but was traded ahead of the deadline to the New York Mets to help stabilize their bullpen.
He did well with the Mets, but he will become a free agent when the season officially comes to a close. This is the first time that the 34-year-old will be a free agent on the open market.
Rogers will, without a doubt, have a ton of teams interested in him. He is one of the few pitchers who works as a submarine pitcher, throwing the ball from a very low arm slot, giving batters a unique view over typical arm slots.
Tyler Rogers viewed as a perfect fit to sign with the Dodgers
One glaring weakness of the Los Angeles Dodgers has been their bullpen. Their bullpen finished the regular season with an ERA of 4.27, the sixth-worst across MLB.
L.A. will look to improve its bullpen this winter and move Roki Sasaki back into the starting rotation. With that in mind, Bleacher Report's Kerry Miller sees Rogers as a perfect fit.
"'Durable' and 'reliable' are two words I wouldn't dream of using to describe the Dodgers bullpen in 2025, so it's easy to see why they might make this setup man one of their top priorities this winter."
However, the Dodgers will not be the only team looking to improve their bullpen. The Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks will also come into the offseason looking to bolster their bullpen.
