The New York Mets feature a promising prospect with an incredible name: Hoss Brewer.
He's also got a bright future.
Brewer is currently pitching in Single-A for the St. Lucie Mets, so he's got a few steps until the big leagues.
But he's shining there, with a 0.72 ERA in 25.0 innings with 30 strikeouts.
At 6-foot-4, 205 pounds, Brewer is certainly a Hoss.
Full name John Halsten Brewer, he started his college baseball career at Seminole State College before ending it at Arkansas-Little Rock.

Brewer had strong strikeout numbers in 2024 in Little Rock, with 101 in 84.1 innings, to go with a 3.95 ERA.
It was enough for the Mets to give him a chance after the draft, and he threw just a single scoreless pair of innings at Single-A after being signed last year.
The Mets sent him back to St. Lucie this time around, where he's a bit old for the level. So far, though, Brewer has done everything asked of him.
Hopefully the Mets promote the Hoss soon so that he can continue an unlikely journey toward the major leagues.
