Juan Soto finds himself in quite the historic company.
The New York Mets slugger has started his tenure with his new team in a way no one has in 89 years.
In fact, only two players in MLB history have done what Soto has done with the Mets, and their names are Babe Ruth and Jimmie Foxx.
The thresholds needing to be reached for this list come in a player's first 100 games with a single team. They include at least 20 home runs, 75 walks and 10 stolen bases, per OptaStats.
Ruth did it for the Yankees in 1920.
Foxx did it for the Red Sox in 1936.
And now Soto has done it for the Mets in 2025.

Soto got off to a slow start with the Mets after his giant contract, but he's gotten going.
On the season, Soto has 24 homers and a league-high 79 walks. He has also tied his career-high already with 12 steals (in 13 attempts).
Yeah, Soto has proven to be just fine as a signing for the Mets.
Anytime you can hang in a record with all-time greats from yesteryear like Ruth and Foxx, it's quite the accomplishment.
