New York Mets' shortstop Francisco Lindor has carved out an impressive 11-year career in the MLB.
The veteran shortstop started his career in Cleveland, spending six years with the Guardians and became a fan favorite. Now, Lindor has spent the last five years with the Mets.
Lindor is the model of consistency, rarely ever missing games throughout his lengthy, comprehensive MLB career. This season, the veteran shortstop made history, becoming the first shortstop to have four seasons with at least 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases.
Lindor Accomplishes Rare Feat
Lindor has a list of accomplishments throughout his career, and now he can add another to the collection. The Mets' shortstop is a five-time All-Star, four-time Silver Slugger, and has earned two Gold Gloves and a Platinum Glove.
Lindor's defense has always been just as elite, if not better, than his approach in the box. The veteran shortstop has put together his third straight season with at last 25 home runs and 25 stolen bases, and when you add his 2018 season to the mix, he has four different seasons accomplishing both.

The Puerto Rican superstar is the first shortstop in MLB history to accomplish the feat. Lindor's ability to consistently perform as one of the best hitters and base runners in the game puts him in a rare class.
The Mets' shortstop has 27 home runs and 30 stolen bases in 2025 with nine games remaining. If Lindor can hit three more home runs before the end of the regular season, it would be the second time in his career he'd hit 30 home runs, and steal 30 bases in a single season.
— ESPN (@espn) September 30, 2024Lindor broke into the league in 2015 and finished second in the NL Rookie of the Year voting, and now he's finished in the Top 10 of MVP voting six times. The veteran shortstop has accumulated more than 1,600 hits, has 275 home runs and 848 RBI in his 11-year career to go with a .815 OPS.
Now, the Mets' shortstop has another accolade to add to the list.
The Mets' need Lindor and the rest of their stars to get hot in the final nine games to secure a playoff spot in 2025.
