When we pressed Melissa, 46, about how their relationship came to be, she explained, “We had a mutual hair [stylist], and Christina was a big fan of [‘RHONJ’], and she asked the hair girl to connect us ’cause she wanted to do dinner.”

According to the Bravolebrity, the two “went to dinner and had a great night — multiple times.”

She added that the “Dirrty” singer, 44, was “great” the “couple times” they hung out in Los Angeles.

“She also reached out to me to come to the Shore house ’cause she goes to [Long Beach Island] during the summer,” Melissa disclosed, noting that Aguilera’s “partner,” Matthew Rutler, “is from New Jersey.”

The couple apparently visits LBI “every year,” so Aguilera “calls” the reality personality “every summer to connect.”

While the fate of “RHONJ” remains uncertain after Season 14 finished airing in August 2024, Melissa agreed that she now has more time to get together with the “Genie in a Bottle” songstress.

“A couple times, she invited me [out], and I was filming — I couldn’t go,” the Envy boutique owner shared.

“Another time, she invited me to her birthday — I couldn’t go. I was like, ‘I can’t believe this!'”

When we gave Melissa “a lot of credit” for turning down those opportunities, she quipped in response, “Can you believe [it]? See? I’m so professional.”

Reps for Aguilera did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
