A growing chorus of MAGA stars, including firebrand Megyn Kelly, are calling for US Attorney General Pam Bondi‘s head over the Jeffrey Epstein files controversy — despite President Trump’s spirited defense of her.
Kelly, a former Fox News host, repeatedly railed against Bondi during a Turning Point USA summit in Tampa Bay on Friday, and later kept up her searing critique of the AG even after Trump leaped to her defense.
“I’m sure it’s a relief for Pam Bondi to hear the president is still in her corner,” Kelly swiped on X.
“Unfortunately, huge swaths of the party are not. She repeatedly misled on Epstein. Then didn’t have the courage to explain herself. Suddenly, she’s camera shy & no Qs allowed. Good luck!”

“1. There’s no huge undisclosed there there on Epstein, Bondi misled on it (until she didn’t) & Trump is quick to forgive a loyal soldier for being desperate to get on TV; or 2. There is a scandal that’s being covered up & it’s at his direction,” she concluded.
Back in February, under Bondi’s watch, the Justice Department turned over “phase one” of the Epstein files to a slew of MAGA influencers. Critics quickly complained that the documents mostly featured information that had already been available.
Earlier this year, Bondi was also asked by Fox News about the DOJ “releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients,” and she replied that “it’s sitting on my desk right now to review.”
The White House has since claimed that she was actually referencing the “entirety of all of the paperwork and relation to Jeffrey Epstein.”
Last week, the DOJ and FBI released a memo on the Epstein documents concluding that there is no evidence that such a client list existed, something that had been reported by multiple media outlets years ago.
The Feds also disclosed surveillance footage near the disgraced financier’s New York prison cell around the time of his death, but a missing minute in that video further fueled suspicions that something was awry.
Amid the controversy, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino clashed with Bondi and contemplated quitting if she stays on as AG, The Post previously reported.
Kelly, who worked with Bongino during her Fox News days and is friends with him, argued that Trump should stick with her ex-colleague and dump Bondi.
“Dan understands MAGA. Dan is part of the MAGA movement,” Kelly said during a panel session with Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on Friday.
The former Fox News host surmised that Trump isn’t “focused” on the Epstein drama, but he should be given “it’s starting to create a real hornet’s nest” for him.
“This is the first big scandal, I’d say, of the Trump administration that’s on team, rational, it’s not a fake media scandal like the left tries to create for President Trump, every other day,” she said.
“It’s one of the right’s making, and it’s not going well,” she bluntly concluded at another point.
“I’ve got to be honest, I blame Pam Bondi,” she added.
“She has never missed an opportunity to go on television and dangle sweet nothings that might be coming your way. Try to lead you to believe that she’s got it, it’s on her desk. It’s coming tomorrow. You’re gonna see something on Epstein.”
Kelly also blasted Bondi for not giving a press conference on the Epstein controversy, and underscored that “her words on the record on Fox News are diametrically opposed to what she put in this memo.”
Bondi has largely kept a low profile as the MAGA drama over Epstein has reached a fever pitch. But her boss delivered a spirited defense of her and blamed Obama and Biden administration era officials for tarnishing the files.
Other top darlings of the MAGA movement similarly piled onto the revolt against Bondi, but were careful about roping in Trump.
Former White House Chief Strategist, turned “War Room” host, Steve Bannon, called for a deeper overhaul of the DOJ and FBI in response to the Epstein storm.
“Yes, you could have Dan Bongino or Pam Bondi resign and make a scene, but that just creates turmoil,” he said at the Turning Point USA summit.
“What we need right now is not to upend DOJ or FBI. We need to get to the bottom of Epstein. Because Epstein is the key that picks the lock.”
Right-wing pundit Tucker Carlson sensationally suggested on his podcast last week that the current DOJ under Pam Bondi “is covering up crimes, very serious crimes by their own description.”
Kirk, meanwhile, said Bondi is humiliating MAGA influencers with the run-around.
“Pam Bondi brought in some of our best influencers, Jack Posobiec, Libs of TikTok,” Kirk complained during his discussion with Kelly Friday.
“And she gave them these [Epstein] binders. And she humiliated them.”
Amid the deluge of backlash, Bondi has largely remained quiet in the public eye.
Trump jumped to her defense on Saturday and lashed out at supporters who have turned against her.
“They’re all going after Attorney General Pam Bondi, who is doing a FANTASTIC JOB! We’re on one Team, MAGA, and I don’t like what’s happening. We have a PERFECT Administration,” Trump raged on Truth Social.
“For years, it’s Epstein, over and over again. Why are we giving publicity to Files written by Obama, Crooked Hillary, Comey, Brennan, and the Losers and Criminals of the Biden Administration,” he added.
“They created the Epstein Files, just like they created the FAKE Hillary Clinton/Christopher Steele Dossier that they used on me, and now my so-called ‘friends’ are playing right into their hands.”
