Machine Gun Kelly Shares New Photo With His & Megan Fox's Baby Girl
No doubt Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly will share quite the story one day about how they landed on their 2-month-old daughter's unique moniker.
Because on June 17, MGK (born: Colson Baker) officially shared the larger-than-life name they'd bestowed upon their little girl: Saga Blade Fox-Baker.
It has been quite the journey since the once-engaged couple revealed their daughter's arrival on Instagram, with MGK posting on March 27, "She’s finally here!! Our little celestial seed."
But, as the "Emo Girl" musician, later explained the post wasn't meant to plant any ideas about their newborn's name.
"Wait guys," he wrote in a March 31 Instagram Stories post featuring a screenshot of a social media name announcement, "her name isn’t Celestial Seed." He knew that curiousity was growing, added the 35-year-old, noting, "Her mom is gonna tell you the name when we’re ready."
Instead it was the rapper that shared her story, posting her name alongside a clip of him strumming away for her entertainment.
But of all the small things he's shared since his youngest's arrival, perhaps one contained a hint.
Detailing on Instagram Stories how he and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker "composed the score of the birth," he revealed that she was born into 432 Hz, which is believed to be a harmonious and soothing frequency. Added MGK, "What an epic journey."
And, of course, the self-described twin flames—who called off their two-year engagement in December, just one month after the actress, 39, announced she was expecting—were always going to choose something larger than life for their little girl.
But even more important to MGK (who shares daughter Casie, 15, with ex Emma Cannon) and Fox (mom to Noah, 12, Bodhi, 11, and Journey, 8, with ex-husband Brian Austin Green) is that Saga has quite the grand adventure.
"They were born to be who they are," the actress reasoned to People of her brood, "and it's my job to support that process, not to get involved and micromanage and mold them into what I think they should be."
Though she'll happily lean into helping them stand out with a unique moniker. And she's hardly the only star to go big when it comes to naming their little ones.
Apple Martin
As Gwyneth Paltrow explained to Oprah Winfrey, her daughter's unforgettable name was actually picked by Chris Martin: "When we were first pregnant, her daddy said, 'If it's a girl I think her name should be Apple'...It sounded so sweet, and it conjured such a lovely picture for me, you know. Apples are so sweet and they're wholesome, and it's biblical."

X Æ A-Xii Musk
Elon Musk introduced his and Grimes' baby boy X Æ A-12 to the world on Twitter in May 2020. They later modified the spelling of his name in order to meet California's legal guidelines, which only permit letters from the English alphabet. Switching over to roman numerals, the parents agreed to spell his name, X Æ A-Xii.
"X, the unknown variable," Grimes explained on Twitter. "Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence) A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent."
Grimes continued, "A=Archangel, my favorite song" with an accompanying a rat and sword emoji. "Metal rat."
In March 2022, she announced they had welcomed daughter Exa Dark Sideræl Musk via surrograte.
"Exa is a reference to the supercomputing term exaFLOPS (the ability to perform 1 quintillion floating-point operations per second)," she said. "Dark, meanwhile, is 'the unknown. People fear it but truly it's the absence of photons. Dark matter is the beautiful mystery of our universe.'"
Sideræl—pronounced "sigh-deer-ee-el"—is "the true time of the universe, star time, deep space time, not our relative earth time," she said, and a nod to her favorite Lord of the Rings character, Galadriel, who "chooses to abdicate the ring."
