Meet the full list of Super Bowl 2026 performers, from Bad Bunny to Charlie Puth

1 hour ago 3

The Super Bowl is the biggest sporting event of the year. While it is the championship game for the NFL, it towers over the championships of all the other major sports, not only in terms of platform but also in pomp and circumstance.

You could argue that there are actually two Super Bowls. You have the actual Super Bowl game between the winner of the AFC and the winner of the NFC to determine that season's NFL champion.

You also have the Super Bowl, which is the event surrounding the game. It includes the best TV commercials of the year, pre-game performances for an opening ceremony and then the high-profile halftime show. The latter is always scrutinized among fans, and this year's headliner may be the most controversial in recent memory.

Here is more on all of the performers expected at Super Bowl 60.

Bad Bunny, Halftime show

In late September 2025, the NFL made the surprise announcement that Bad Bunny would headline the Super Bowl 60 halftime show. Bad Bunny is an international music star, but the choice did come as a surprise, since he primarily sings and raps in Spanish. The decision was heavily criticized by President Donald Trump, who has since said he is "anti-Bad Bunny and Green Day" and will not attend the Super Bowl.

Bad Bunny is 31 years old and was born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He first got into music in 2013 and has since been nominated for 16 Grammys and currently has three wins. Bad Bunny won Best Latin Pop or Urban Album for "YHLQMDLG" in 2021 and Best Musicana Urbana Album in 2022 for "El Ultrime Tour Del Mundo" and "Un Verano Sin Ti".

Since 2023, Bad Bunny has the 12th-most monthly listeners on Spotify. He is the second-most streamed artist of all-time on Spotify, trailing only Taylor Swift. Apple Music dropped a trailer hyping up Bad Bunny's show. He is seen dancing with a wide variety of people, promoting unity and joy. The trailer ends with "the world will dance."

Bad Bunny released a statement after being chosen to be the Super Bowl headliner. He said, "What I’m feeling goes beyond myself. It’s for those who came before me and ran countless yards so I could come in and score a touchdown … this is for my people, my culture and our history."

One of Bad Bunny's most famous songs is "Chambea." Bad Bunny spent some time in the WWE and he had a match in 2023 at Backlash in his home county of Puerto Rico. He walked out to the song in what is now known as one of the best wrestling entrances of all time from the crowd reaction.

Green Day, Opening ceremony tribute

Green Day is one of those bands that everyone is somewhat familiar with or has heard a song or two, but they probably don't realize the full history of the band. The group was formed in 1987 in Rode, California. They were part of a growing movement of alternative rock groups in the Bay Area. Green Day was initially called Sweet Children from 1987 to 1989 and changed their name to avoid confusion with another group in the area called Sweet Baby.

The group has had several successful albums from Kerplunk in 1991 to Dookie in 1994, Nimrod in 1997, American Idiot in 2004 and 21st Century Breakdown in 2009. Green Day has won five Grammy awards.

  • 1995 Grammy for Best Alternative Music Performance for "Dookie"
  • 2005 Grammy for Best Rock Album of the Year for American Idiot
  • 2006 Grammy for Record of the Year for "Boulevard of Broken Dreams"
  • 2010 Grammy for Best Rock Album for 21st Century Breakdown
  • 2011 Grammy for Best Musical Show Album for The Original Broadway Cast Recording (produced by Billie Joe Armstrong)

The 2026 Super Bowl is Super Bowl 60, marking six decades of Super Bowl history. In response, the NFL has planned an opening ceremony to pay homage to that history. The band will perform to celebrate six decades of championship history and honor previous Super Bowl MVPs. In response, Armstrong said, "We are super hyped to open Super Bowl 60 right in our backyard! We are honored to welcome the MVPs who've shaped the game and open the night for fans all over the world. Let's have fun! Let's get loud!”
