The New York Jets had a strong first two days of the 2026 NFL Draft and have plenty of Day 3 picks to further add to their offense and defense.

Their first selection at No. 103 overall, according to Connor Hughes of SNY, was Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr.

Who is this new Jets defensive tackle? The new massive interior lineman will be a physical presence in the middle of the DL for Aaron Glenn's defense in 2026.

Meet Darrell Jackson Jr., Jets' massive new DL

Jackson is best known for his huge size, as he's 6-foot-5, 337 pounds. The Jets lost Quinnen Williams in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys, and are adding a new lineman to beef up the DL.

This addition is a solid one for the Jets, as the soon-to-be 23-year-old defensive lineman has plenty of potential that he could reach in the NFL.

He's a more raw prospect, but in the fourth round of the NFL Draft, this is the exact kind of high-upside pick worth taking for the Jets.

This past season for the Florida State Seminoles, Jackson recorded 12 hurries and only one sack, but he was better against the run, which should be a quality pickup for the Jets' defensive line in 2026 and beyond.

In 2024, Jackson posted five sacks with 23 hurries, showing much more pass rush upside than he did in 2025.

Combining the two seasons, Jackson has already shown production in the pass rush game and also the ability to stuff the run.

The Jets need to bolster their defense after a brutal 2025 season. Jackson is the latest addition, who will help Glenn and the Jets' defense turn things around in 2026.
