The Maxx Crosby saga is only going to get weirder.

The Las Vegas Raiders have their superstar pass rusher back after the Baltimore Ravens backed out of their agreed-upon trade on Tuesday night.

For what were reported as medical reasons, the Ravens pulled away before the deal could become official on Wednesday. Baltimore was set to send two first-round picks to the Raiders for Crosby.

Now, the Ravens have their picks back, and no Crosby, while the Raiders have to decide what to do next with Crosby.

It's not an easy situation for anyone involved, and Crosby's agent is trying to change the narrative.

This is what agent CJ LaBoy posted on X on Tuesday night after the shocking news emerged, in regards to Crosby's offseason knee surgery:

"Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons."

This could be a couple things, of course.

It might be an agent simply sticking up for his guy in hopes he can still land somewhere new this offseason.

On the other hand, there's already speculation that the Ravens may have failed Crosby on his physical for more reasons than just his body (potentially having second thoughts about the trade itself). And in that case, this agent tweet would be very telling.

We'll have to see where this drama goes next.
