Jayson Tatum knows who Cooper Flagg is. Game recognizes game, as they say.
And who is Cooper Flagg? A rising superstar.
The Dallas Mavericks' No. 1 overall pick is on a historic run, becoming the first teenager in NBA history to score 30 points in three consecutive games (making him the youngest to ever do that).
And these aren't cheap 30-point games, either.

The streak began with his 49-pointer, and his stats have looked like this in the last three:
- 49 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists
- 34 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists
- 36 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists
Flagg turned 19 on Dec. 21. Less than two months later, he looks pretty much unstoppable.
It wasn't enough on Tuesday night to beat the Celtics, who won 110-100.
But it continues to be enough to prove that Flagg is both the present and the future of the Mavericks.
It also continues to make the recent argument that Flagg wouldn't be a top-five player in the current college basketball freshman class look absurd.
Flagg did this against Jaylen Brown and Derrick White on Tuesday night.

If he was in college, he'd be destroying everyone.
Soon, the Mavs will put a good enough team around Flagg that nights like these mean wins, too.
For now, he'll keep doing his best to make Dallas competitive, and if he stays on this much of a roll, he'll also keep making history.
