Stafford was previously going to make $58 million in 2025 and 2026, but he could now make $84 million. His salary for the 2025 season was set to be $27 million.

L.A.'s hesitance to give Stafford a new deal was reportedly because the team wanted to take his situation year by year. The quarterback, meanwhile, was reportedly seeking a multi-year deal. The two sides are now tied for the next two years, and Stafford will get a significant raise this year.

In 2024, Stafford completed 65.8 percent of his passes for 3,762 yards and 20 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He also led the Rams to a playoff win over the Vikings.
