Matt Rife is going to have a lot more fans to choose from for his crowd work next year.
The 29-year-old comic just announced he’s going to play arenas all over North America on his 2025 ‘Stay Golden Tour.’
That includes a stop at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden on Saturday, July 19.
“I’m so fkn excited to see y’all for even bigger and better shows!” Rife shared on Instagram. “Let’s have the night of our lives!”
And while the stand-up’s star has risen exponentially over the past two years, he still isn’t above poking fun at himself as evidenced in this tongue in cheek NSFW promotional video where he pretends to snort cocaine, addresses the haters — yes, he masturbates to an angry Marc Maron tweet — and cracks wise about how he “broke a few hearts” on the road (one woman exits his hotel room as another enters).

Matt Rife controversy
Rife dropped his first Netflix special in 2023 and soon after it hit the streamer, viewers were upset.
After describing the state of Maryland to the crowd, he jumped into an anecdote about a waitress he encountered in the state with a black eye.
“My boy, who I was with, was like, ‘Yeah, I feel bad for her, man, I feel like they should put her in the kitchen or something where nobody has to see her face,’” Rife joked.
“And I was like, ‘Yeah, but I feel like if she could cook, she wouldn’t have that black eye.’”
Many fans of his didn’t appreciate the bit.
“The way women catapulted Matt Rife into popularity and the second he gets a comedy special on Netflix he immediately betrays them with a joke about domestic violence crazy innit,” one user slammed on X (formerly Twitter).
In response, Rife volleyed back with a silly apology where he offered those that were offended special needs helmets.
