A massive bear sighting prompted a huge police response in a Sunland neighborhood Saturday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the animal was first seen near Wheatland Avenue before later appearing around Dale Avenue.
Officers said the bear is believed to have left the residential area, but stayed nearby as a precaution in case it came back.
“He’s a pretty big boy!” neighbor Cindy Frith-Smith told ABC eyewtiness news, as she captured the video. “Oh mom, he’s going up the tree!”
“I was so excited, and they kept telling me to go back in, but I wanted to see the bear,” she added.
Even some kids saw the furry beast.
“I’ve never seen this. This is crazy. How did it just randomly get here?” said Bobby Avakin.
“I was like, ‘It’s so cute,'” Sawyer Laney said.
