‘13 Going on 30’: Flashback to Jennifer Garner and Mark Ruffalo’s Interviews From 2004!
Mark Ruffalo's son Keen Ruffalo has learned one superpower from his dad that's helped him in his acting career.
"Consistency," Keen told iHeartRadio Canada on the red carpet ahead of his film New Year's Rev at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival of the advice his father has given him as he's entered the acting world. "You have to do so many auditions. Eventually you're going to land one."
The 24-year-old—who posed alongside his doppelgänger dad at the Sept. 12 premiere—noted that after putting in the effort, "It'll start to pick up," but he did add that it "takes a lot."
And even as the son of a Marvel star, it's taken hard work, as Keen shared, "I had to go through so many before I got even this one."

"It takes a lot and it sometimes sucks and it's hard to keep that up after getting told no so many times," he continued, "but after how many you do, you find one that's perfect."
And while Keen credits his dad for the life lesson in consistency, Mark has returned the sentiment by thanking his wife Sunrise Coigney and their three kids—Keen as well as daughters Bella, 20, and Odette, 17, all of whom made cameos in 2017's Thor: Ragnarok alongside their father—for helping him achieve milestones in his own career.

"It's for my wife Sunrise, who's been with me through all of it, who believed in me more than anybody. You always tell me the truth," the 13 Going on 30 star said at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in February 2024. "My kids, Bella and Keen and Odette, you've taught me so much about being a parent, about being a man, about being an actor."
The Emmy winner added, "This is your star, my whole family, in ways that you will not understand for some time."
