Om… or not!
Mark Consuelos honored World Meditation Day on Live with Kelly and Mark on Wednesday, telling viewers that he has a “meditation practice,” though hasn’t done it in “a few months.”
Kelly Ripa quipped, “I would say it’s been since you joined this show.”
However, Consuelos said he “used to meditate a lot before the show” due to nerves.
“But I find that it’s really good for me, and it’s good for the people that I live with he if I meditate,” he teased with a chuckle.
Ripa asked, “By people, do you mean me?”
Consuelos replied, “Everyone that’s in my house.”
“And Lena?” Ripa added, referring to their dog.
Consuelos elaborated a little further, citing when their kids come home, and noted that meditation “centers” and “relaxes” him.
“It gives me a little bit of a moment to pause before I say things,” he shared.
Ripa, on the other hand, brought up a meditation lesson segment coming later in the show, though she claimed that “many people” have “tried and failed” to teach her to meditate.
“I’m busy-minded,” she said.

Consuelos offered up a time for Ripa to adopt meditation.
“When you do some of your treatments, and you’re just sitting there,” he explained.
Ripa asked, “What do you mean my treatments?”
Once he got permission to be “specific,” Consuelos continued, “When you put that head thing on or that mask thing on, you’re sitting there, and it’s a good time to meditate.”
Ripa contested, “I’ve got, like, complex math going on in my brain. I’ve got, like, things going on in my brain.”
While Consuelos insisted that his wife and co-host should take “just five minutes” to meditate, Ripa told him, “I don’t have that kind of time.”
Consuelos added, “It will make your life better.”
After Ripa denied that, Consuelos teased, “It will make my life better.”
Ripa clapped back, “Let me tell you about your life, and how good your life has been for decades due to the fact that I don’t meditate.”
Consuelos highlighted that he is just looking out for Ripa, telling her, “I love you and I care about you, and I want good things for you. And you should just try it.”
Though Ripa agreed to try out meditation on the show, she claimed she “already know[s] how it’s going to go.” Her disposition reminded Consuelos of Ralph Kramden, the crotchety busdriver from The Honeymooners.
“I’ll tell you how it goes!” he droned, attempting to imitate the character. “Just meditate.”
