The Seattle Mariners are one of many contenders who want Eugenio Suarez.
The star third baseman from the Arizona Diamondbacks has already blasted 36 home runs this season.
If Suarez came to Seattle, it'd be a reunion. He was there in 2022 and 2023 before being traded to the Diamondbacks in November 2023.
Bleacher Report's Zachary Rymer thinks a Suarez reunion is in the cards.
"The Mariners are interested in Suárez, according to ESPN's Buster Olney, and there's a lot more than just familiarity at play there," Rymer writes. "They have gotten only five home runs from third base this season, so scoring an upgrade the likes of Suárez would only further solidify them as a contender for their first-ever World Series appearance. Assuming Seattle is indeed that desperate for Suárez, there would be little stopping them from bringing him back to the Pacific Northwest. B/R's Joel Reuter has the Mariners' farm system ranked at No. 1 in MLB, and Logan Evans, Jurrangelo Cijntje and Ryan Sloan are pitchers Arizona could covet in a swap."

Ben Williamson's glove has been good at third for Seattle, but his bat hasn't been up to par.
For the Mariners to hold onto a playoff spot, they need another slugger. Suarez is the best one they could possibly land.
A deal here really does appear to be in play, and Seattle's farm system is strong enough to get it done. Stay tuned, because Suarez could be making a return to the Pacific Northwest.
