Colt Emerson is on fire.
It's encouraging for the Seattle Mariners and their fan base for sure after a bit of a slow hitting start to the season.
Emerson is the Mariners' top prospect, ranked No. 17 in all of baseball by MLB Pipeline.
And on Wednesday night, the star shortstop delivered a career-high four hits for High-A Everett. That included a home run for a second consecutive game.
Emerson, still just 19, has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games.
His average in May was just .246, but as things have heated up in June, so has he.
Emerson is batting .333 in June and has raised his season OPS to .796.

He's likely still at least a year away from the major leagues, and the Mariners will be very careful not to rush him.
But Emerson is also the level of talent that if he keeps this hot streak going, he could be up to Double-A and even Triple-A in no time at all. And once a stud prospect is there, his arrival is imminent.
Don't pencil him into the MLB lineup quite yet, but it's clear Emerson is on his way.
