The sports and international world will be tuning in to Friday's 2026 Winter Olympics opening ceremony. The opening ceremony, which will mark the beginning of the 2026 Milan Winter Games.
Ahead of the Winter Olympics, Carey was announced as a headliner for the opening ceremony. There will also be performances by the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Laura Pausini and Sabrina Impacciatore.

Mariah Carey opening ceremony details
There are not too many details regarding Carey's performance ahead of the ceremony. In December, Carey announced she would be performing at the host venue, San Siro Stadium in Milan. She even showed off some of her ability to speak Italian:
"Global superstar Mariah Carey is the first major international guest who will be among the leading performers at the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026,." an official release reads.
"The five-time Grammy award-winning artist, recognized worldwide for her unmistakable voice and smash hits including 'One Sweet Day', 'We Belong Together' and 'All I Want For Christmas Is You', will take centre stage at the Milano San Siro Olympic Stadium on 6 February as the Olympic Winter Games get underway."
According to ESPN, the ceremony is expected to include a tribute to the late Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who passed away last September. It's unclear if Carey will be directly part of the tribute at this time.
What time is Mariah Carey singing at Olympics?
The opening ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. ET, which is 8:30 p.m. ET local time in Milan.
While the Winter Olympics has not released a full schedule of when certain performers will take the stage, Carey will likely be featured early in the show's three-hour time slot.

The opening ceremony for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be broadcast live on NBC. The commentators will include NBC's Savannah Guthrie and Terry Gannon, as well as Shaun White and Mike Tirico for the event.
