Marcus Rashford decides on Barcelona offer as Saudi Pro League bid lands

Marcus Rashford’s uncertain summer took another turn after Manchester United made it clear he is no longer central to their long-term plans.

The forward is moving on after a quiet loan stint at Aston Villa, which didn’t lead to a permanent deal.

Villa passed on the £40m [$54m] option to buy him, and since returning to Old Trafford, Rashford has not trained with the senior squad but instead reported alone at Carrington, which has only reinforced the growing belief that he is actively seeking a fresh start elsewhere.

The forward, who recently lost the symbolic No. 10 shirt to new signing Matheus Cunha, has been linked with several clubs as his future remains unresolved and the clock ticks closer to the new season.

Rashford makes Barcelona decision after Saudi interest

According to Mundo Deportivo, the England international recently rejected a  £34m [$46m] per year offer from one Saudi Pro League club.

Despite the financial lure, Rashford has made it clear that his priority is to join FC Barcelona this summer.

The 27-year-old is reportedly willing to lower his salary and has proposed a loan deal that includes a future purchase clause worth between £25 and £34m [$33-46m], which Barcelona are currently considering as they continue restructuring their wage bill under La Liga's financial rules.

While the Catalan club are still juggling numbers and haven't made a formal offer yet, there is a growing belief that the move could happen.
