Manner of death revealed for passenger who plunged 50 feet at Indianapolis airport

The 38-year-old woman who plummeted off the edge of a terminal deck at the Indianapolis airport over the weekend died by suicide, authorities said.

The woman fell 50 feet from the outside edge of the Upper Terminal Drive at the Indianapolis International Airport around 12:15 p.m. Saturday..

The Marion County Coroner’s Office on Monday classified her death as a suicide.

Her cause of death was listed as “Blunt Force of the Trunk and Extremities,” Fox 59 reported.

Dispatchers monitoring the airport’s security cameras witnessed her fatal fall and first responders’ valiant attempts to save her life.
