A lunatic Florida cop attacked an elderly man at a restaurant after his wife shot down the drunk’s sexual advances, authorities said.

Disturbing surveillance footage from Merk’s Bar & Grill in New Smyrna Beach Monday shows 44-year-old Jason Stickels, an off-duty sergeant with the Volusia County Sherriff’s Office, standing behind a seated couple before leaning in toward the wife, 71, for a smooch, according to a charging affidavit.

After the failed kiss, the 77-year-old husband attempted to intervene by shaking Stickels’ hand and pushing him away from his wife.

The brute then grabbed the husband by the throat, before an onlooker at the restaurant put Stickels in a headlock and waited for the police to arrive.

When local police showed up, Stickels was so drunk that he couldn’t explain what happened, telling police “you know what’s up, man,” and that he was “with the county; you know who I am” before showing officers his badge.

Patrons began to yell “get him out of here” when police were initially assessing the situation.

“How to throw away your law enforcement career in 2 minutes,” Mike Chitwood, Volusia County sheriff said in a Facebook post.

“Off duty, stumbling drunk, harassing people who are just trying to enjoy their afternoon.I apologize for this soon-to-be former Volusia Sheriff’s Office sergeant’s idiotic behavior today. He is locked up tonight.”

Stickels, who has worked for the sheriff’s office since 2004, is charged with two counts of felony battery on a person 65 years of age or older, according to court records obtained by The Post.

He was immediately placed on administrative leave and has since surrendered his badge and gun pending disciplinary action from the sheriff’s office.
