Seattle cops have launched a manhunt for the two daredevils who were filmed skydiving off the city’s iconic Space Needle in a death-defying stunt.
The pair of BASE jumpers, who are yet to be identified, face trespassing charges after climbing over the glass wall at the top of the 605-foot structure, flipping over the edge and parachuting down to the ground, according to a report from the City of Seattle Police Department.
Described only as white men in their late 20s, the pair bought tickets and entered the Space Needle shortly before 9 p.m. Friday local time, according to the police.
Security footage shows them at the top level of the Needle before going into a restroom, where they changed and came out wearing helmets and other BASE jumping equipment, according to the police.
The foolhardy pair then ran to the high glass panel surrounding the observation deck, climbed over to its other side and jumped off, according to the police.
Video posted to TikTok showed the men appearing to scale the walls before launching themselves off the building.
