Al-Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has boldly claimed that Manchester United will not win the Premier League title this season when asked if Arsenal will get over the line. Ronaldo also reckons the Gunners have a very good shot of winning their first title in 21 years.

Arsenal have had an excellent start to the season and are currently at the summit of the league standings with 25 points from 10 games, six points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, and seven points above Liverpool. They will be seeking to maintain their current form after finishing second over the past three seasons.

On the other hand, Manchester United have shown signs of improvement this season under Ruben Amorim. However, they have struggled to maintain consistency and are currently eighth with 17 points.

Cristiano Ronaldo, who plied his trade for the Red Devils across two different spells between 2003 and 2009, and 2021 and 2022, provided his opinion on the title race. During an interview with Piers Morgan, the 40-year-old stated:

"Could be, it's possible. I think the Premier League it's... the level of the teams it's very similar. I mean, the top ones. But you know the Premier League, you never know what's gonna happen. It's a very difficult league, very tough league but Manchester (United) are not going to win the league for sure because they are so many points behind right now. It's possible but I don't believe on that. Arsenal... probably."

When further questioned by Morgan, Ronaldo added:

"Yes, Arsenal can win the league."

Cristiano Ronaldo won the Premier League three times for Manchester United (2006-7, 2007-8, and 2008-9).

"Probably I will cry" - Cristiano Ronaldo opens up on when he will retire

Portugal ace Cristiano Ronaldo has admitted he will retire soon and will likely be distraught when the time comes. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner also stated that he wants to focus on raising his five children, have his own hobbies, and pursue other passions, including YouTube and his own companies.

From the aforementioned interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo was asked if he had an age in mind for retirement. The 40-year-old replied (via New York Times):

“Soon. But I think I will be prepared. It will be tough, of course. Will be difficult, yes. Probably I will cry, yes … It will be very, very difficult but I’ve prepared my future since (I was) 25, 26, 27 years old. So I think I will be capable to support that pressure.”

He added:

"Nothing will compare to the adrenaline we have for football to score a goal. But I have other passions. (When I retire) I’m going to have more time for me, have more time for my family, to raise my kids … I want to be more a family person, more present. Also, to have my own hobbies. I like to see UFC, the fights. I like padel." "I like and I want to learn more about my companies. I’ll never be a YouTuber, of course, but I want to be there. I’m going to spend more time on that to learn."

Cristiano Ronaldo has been playing at the highest level since 2002 and remains one of the deadliest strikers in the world. He recently signed a new two-year deal with Al-Nassr in June and is expected to represent Portugal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup next summer.
