Man Utd suffers transfer blow as Serie A club submits fresh bid image

Manchester United’s summer transfer plans have taken an early hit — and this time, the red alarm is sounding from Italy.

AC Milan have entered the race for Swiss midfielder Ardon Jashari and are stepping on the gas with a fresh bid. United, who have been monitoring the 22-year-old closely, now face the risk of being outpaced in the chase.

The Club Brugge star has been a hot name in Europe since winning both the Belgian Pro League Player of the Year and Young Player of the Year awards.

His rise has caught the eye of several top clubs. But it’s Milan who now seem ready to turn admiration into action, offering €30 million (around £25 million), including bonuses.

United, still looking to rebuild under Ruben Amorim, had hoped to bring Jashari into their midfield plans.

But it seems the player isn’t sold on the idea of joining the Old Trafford project.

AC Milan leads the race to sign Man Utd target

According to reports in Belgium (via HLN), Brugge are standing firm on their €40 million valuation.

That price tag already scared off Borussia Dortmund, who were once favorites to land Jashari. But Milan appear ready to test the waters again — and possibly go higher if needed.

Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri sees Jashari as a key part of his new-look midfield. With other targets like Granit Xhaka and Javi Guerra looking unlikely, Milan are putting their energy into this deal.

Jashari, who has always dreamed of playing at San Siro, is believed to favor a move to Serie A over the Premier League — especially given United's recent struggles.

The Rossoneri have a history with Club Brugge, famously chasing Charles De Ketelaere in a long 2022 saga. This one could follow a similar script, with more twists to come before the final whistle.
