Manchester City entered the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup as one of the favourites to go on and win the new expanded tournament.
Pep Guardiola's team qualified as one of the UEFA Champions League winners during the period from 2021 to 2024.
After winning the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League, City qualified for the final edition of the short-form Club World Cup in 2023, and emerged as champions after beating Fluminense in the final.
Despite a disappointing season last time around, where Guardiola finished trophy-less for the first time since 2016/17, an exciting rebuild has continued apace and new recruits Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki and Tijani Reijnders have all made their debuts in the United States.
Below, The Sporting News lays out their schedule for the competition.
