Man, 37, clinging to life after stabbing inside NYC residence for the blind: cops

A 37-year-old man is clinging to life after he was stabbed inside a Chelsea residence for the blind late Wednesday, cops said.

The victim was knifed in the stomach inside the building on West 23rd Street near Seventh Avenue around 11:40 p.m, which houses Selis Manor and the Associated Blind Foundation, police said. 

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, authorities said.

The 37-year-old victim was stabbed around 11:40 p.m. inside the residence for the blind and physically disabled on West 23rd Street near Seventh Avenue, cops said.

No arrests had been made by Thursday, and the motive remains under investigation, police said. 

The housing facility did not immediately respond to a call from The Post. It was not clear if the victim was blind.

The building is located in the confines of the NYPD’s 13th Precinct, where overall felony crime is down by about 6 percent so far this year, the latest department data shows.
