Mayor Zohran Mamdani slammed Democrats for lacking vision.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani got it at least half right Sunday when he blasted his own Democratic Party for lacking vision.
“We know very well what we oppose,” the mayor huffed. “What are we for? That is a question we have to be able to answer. . . . That is the heart of the question for our party.”
Indeed it is.
For pretty much the entire time President Donald Trump has been in the White House, Democrats have defined themselves by opposing whatever he supports.
Secure borders. Low taxes. Public safety. No nukes for Iran. Deporting violent illegal immigrants.
No matter the issue, if Trump’s for it, they’re against it.
Truth is, they’re simply opposed to him: Seems like every Democratic candidate runs on a vow to “stand up to Trump.” And their lapdogs in the media back them up.
Mamdani’s right: That’s not a vision. That’s simply hate.
The mayor is also right that what he offers is a vision of the future.
Unfortunately, it’s the wrong vision.

His socialist dreams are proven failures — certain to further impoverish and immiserate the very people he hopes to help.
And, for better or worse, Mamdani isn’t offering much else besides failed vision.
What people need is leaders who not only lay out sound goals but have the skills to achieve them.
Democrats clearly have their work cut out for them.
