Malachi Toney hits Heisman pose — again — as Miami wins in 70-point blowout

Miami Hurricanes star receiver Malachi Toney may have been sending a message to Heisman Trophy voters in Thursday’s 77-7 blowout over Florida A&M. 

Literally. 

Toney hit the Heisman pose again after he scored a touchdown early in the second quarter to put the Hurricanes up 27-0.

The hopeful for college football’s biggest award has scored four touchdowns this season, striking the Heisman pose all four times he has found the pay dirt. 

He finished Thursday night’s game with 96 receiving yards on four receptions, leading all Miami wideouts in a game that was over as soon as it kicked off.

While the celebration was memorable enough, it was Toney’s insane grab in the first quarter that had heads turning. 

Florida A&M defensive back Frank Callum did all he could to break up a pass to Toney, but the Canes receiver leaped over Callum and still managed to pull the ball in for a 52-yard reception.

Toney is one of the early Heisman favorites this season, and it’s becoming easy to see why. 

As for the game itself, the Hurricanes dominated Florida A&M to the point that both coaches agreed to play only 10 minutes in the fourth quarter. 

The victory tied a program record for Miami with points scored and total yards (856).
