Former WWE Champion Big E has been making headlines with his work outside the ring, contributing to promoting the company and further entertaining fans around the world on the mic. The star has now been announced as an official guest in a massive football pregame show.
Big E has been officially announced as a guest for FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff airing live from Iowa City ahead of the Iowa Hawkeyes vs Oregon Ducks game. The appearance marks a special homecoming for the former WWE Champion, who played football for the Hawkeyes in 2006 and graduated from the University of Iowa.
However, Big E’s role in the appearance is still not confirmed. The star could be a part of the panel discussions or the on-field commentary as well. Time will tell what FOX offers the star on his appearance.
Former WWE superstar expressed his love for Big E following dangerous spot
The unfortunate spot that ended up injuring Big E’s neck came on the ringside when former WWE superstar Ridge Holland attempted a suplex. The move didn’t go as planned and ended up giving Big E a life-threatening injury.
Ridge Holland shared a video on his YouTube channel stating that he would always regret that spot. Further, the former WWE superstar expressed his love for the former New Day star after the latter forgave him for the spot.
"Unfortunately, it happened, and I will always regret that spot. And I'm grateful that Big E, the class of human that he is, you know, he forgave me. He's been able to be so positive and move on with his life. And going into punditry, and all of this stuff he does for the community, with like collegiate athletes and stuff. I think he has worked on the Next In Line stuff, so he's killing it, man. He's such a good human being and I wish nothing but for the best for him," he said.Holland was released by the Stamford-based company earlier this year. Fans will have to wait and see if Big E and Ridge Holland come face-to-face in action anytime in the future.
