Maharashtra Election 2024 voter turnout: 6.61% voter turnout recorded till 9 am; Gadchiroli highest, Osmanabad lowest
Maharashtra election voting: Voting across 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm on Wednesday.
The counting of votes for the Maharashtra Assembly elections will take place on November 23.
A voter turnout of 6.61 per cent was recorded in Maharashtra till 9 am as polling is underway on all 288 assembly seats in the state. Voting across 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra began at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm on Wednesday. The counting of votes and results will be declared on November 23.
Gadchiroli district in the state witnessed the highest voter turnout. Osmanabad, on the other hand, has recorded the lowest voter turnout at 4.85 per cent, as per the Election Commission of India data.
In Mumbai suburban, 10.59 per cent voter turnout was recorded in Bhandup and 10.71 per cent in Mulund. While Colaba reported 5.35 per cent turnout, 3.78 per cent voter turnout was reported in Worli.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule appealed to voters to come out in large numbers and cast their vote.
"I appeal to the people of Maharashtra to come out and cast their vote in large numbers. I expect 100 per cent voting today. The elected government is going to work for 14 crore people of the state for the next 5 years," Bawankule, who is contesting from Kamthi, said.
