Madden 27 team ratings: The best and worst NFL teams to play with listed by overall rating

In late summer, it can be difficult to judge who the best and worst NFL teams will be for the upcoming season. EA Sports often helps settle those debates.

Prior to the release of Madden NFL 27 in mid-August, the video game company has released its ratings for each of the 32 NFL squads as things stand currently. 

The projected Super Bowl favorites lead the way in the Madden 27 ratings thanks to a busy offseason, but eight teams came in with an overall rating of 85 or higher.

Here's a look at the team ratings for Madden 27.

At the top of the overall team ratings for this year's Madden game are the Los Angeles Rams, who already boasted a ton of star power before they went out and acquired future Hall of Fame pass rusher Myles Garrett and All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie this offseason. With Matthew Stafford coming off an MVP campaign, the Puka Nacua-Davante Adams receiver duo being one of the NFL's best and Sean McVay at the helm, the Rams' talent made them the best Madden 27 franchise.

Behind the Rams were another NFC team to win a Super Bowl this decade: the Philadelphia Eagles. While the Eagles are coming off a disappointing season by their standards, with a quick playoff exit after winning the NFC East, Nick Sirianni's squad still boasts a collection of elite talent on both sides of the ball. 

The defending champion Seattle Seahawks came in with an overall rating of 84, which put them 10th among all teams. Meanwhile, the lowest rating was given to the Miami Dolphins, given a 74 team mark.

As for the best NFL offenses, Madden 27 has the Rams, led by Stafford, as the best in the game. The Lions, Ravens, 49ers, Bills and Chiefs also received offensive ratings at 90 or above.

Madden 26 team defense ratings

Defensively, the Rams also lead the way in Madden 27's ratings after adding Garrett and McDuffie. They're followed by the Eagles, Ravens, Broncos and Texans.
