The Los Angeles Lakers looked to continue their hot streak Thursday night after back-to-back road wins against the Houston Rockets to begin the week.

Although they were outscored 42-29 in the first quarter, the Lakers had a response in the second, cutting the deficit to six at halftime.

Los Angeles came out of the break with a monster third quarter, outscoring Miami by 15 en route to a 134-126 win.

Luka Doncic stole the show, scoring 60 points to go along with seven rebounds, three assists and a career-high five steals.

This was the first 60-point game by a Laker since Kobe Bryant's final game nearly 10 years ago in April 2016.

After an efficient 30-point night Wednesday, LeBron James posted a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, 15 rebounds and 10 assists against his former team.

Austin Reaves and Marcus Smart were the only other Lakers in double-figures, as the duo scored 18 and 13 respectively.

Following the game, Doncic spoke on James' impact, making one thing clear.

"Like I said yesterday, without him we don't win. The way he is playing its incredible to see and to watch."

With the win, Los Angeles has now won a season-high eight straight.

As a result, they've moved up to third in the Western Conference standings, two games ahead of the Minnesota Timberwolves who currently sit in fourth.

The Lakers will have Friday off before finishing their road trip with games against the Orlando Magic, Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers.
