The Los Angeles Lakers are on the road on Friday night as they travel to take on the Houston Rockets in Game 6 of their first-round playoff series.
For the Lakers, they enter Friday’s game with a 3-2 series lead after losing at home to the Rockets on Wednesday night in Game 5.
Now Los Angeles will try to bounce back on Friday in Game 6 as they try to grab a victory on the road in Houston to clinch the series and punch their ticket into the Western Conference semifinals.
While the Lakers are looking to pick up a victory to advance to the next round of the playoffs in Game 6 on Friday night, they will be without one of their star players once again due to injury.
Lakers rule out Luka Doncic for Game 6
For the Lakers, they have only one player listed on their injury report for Friday’s game as they have ruled out star guard Luka Doncic.
Los Angeles has ruled out Doncic due to a left hamstring strain that has kept him out to begin the playoffs and he is not only expected to miss the remainder of the first round, but he is also expected to be sidelined to begin the second round if the Lakers are able to advance.

With Doncic still sidelined, Marcus Smart and Luke Kennard could both continue to have increased roles while the Lakers will likely continue to rely on LeBron James to carry the load offensively.
The good news for the Lakers is that Austin Reaves is officially off the injury report entirely after making his first appearance of the playoffs in Game 5 on Wednesday after missing the first four games with an oblique strain.
