Julius Randle and the Minnesota Timberwolves are headed to the Western Conference Finals, where they'll take on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Randle, who has played excellent basketball for the Timberwolves after being traded to them by the New York Knicks during the offseason, has quieted the doubters.
While his time in the NBA has been remembered as a member of the Knicks, it's important to remember where he started. Randle, a member of the Los Angeles Lakers from 2014 to 2018, earned his stripes in Los Angeles.
He improved his game with the Lakers, going from averaging two points in his first season and playing in one game to 16.1 points in his final year.
When speaking about that situation, former Lakers teammate Lonzo Ball admitted that he was one of the players on the team who could do it all.
He added that the Lakers disrespected him and didn’t let him be the player he wanted to be.
“He can do it all. He can do it all, man… One of the craziest things I’ve ever heard in my life when I was on that team. They sat us all down early in the season in the locker room, went through everybody’s roles and sh*t.
"They got to Jrue. They talking about ‘just rebound and set screens, nothing else’. I’m like, ‘What the f…?’ So then I’m like, ‘Nah, I low key spoke up.’ I’m talking about nah. Like he one of our best players. He the only player that can do everything. Like what the… And then after that sh^t, we… that’s when we got cool after that. But nah, they was disrespecting him crazy in LA, bro. And now look what he doing now,” Ball said.

There have been points throughout Randle’s career where he hasn't been great, and can be a bit all over the place mentally.
However, he's grown as a player, and it's awesome to see.
