A Long Island high school is under lockdown after an apparent threat from a 15-year-old student who claimed to be armed with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, law enforcement sources said.
The threat, reported to 911 by a parent on Thursday morning, said the teen said he was “tired of being bullied,” the sources said.
Police swarmed the school as students were ordered into a lockdown, with sources saying Long Beach Middle School and Long Beach Elementary School also affected.
Additional details were not immediately available.
